Advanced Study

The University of Stirling offers a range of accredited courses and programmes that build on each other to provide you a route from training programmes through to a PhD, and everything in-between.  Our courses are delivered online and aimed at professionals and practitioners who work with people with a dementia in any field of work.

Undergraduate

If you have done a short course with the DSDC you might like to try one of our undergraduate level online courses, these provide in-depth understanding to the topic and offer an entry route to our MSc programmes if you are interested in continuing with your studies.

“ What I particularly liked was the sense of community with my fellow MSc e-class mates from across the globe, the knowledge exchange involving different approaches to practice and cultural influence.”

— Dio, MSc Dementia Studies Programme

Postgraduate

If you are working in a management position or interested in taking your dementia knowledge to a specialist level our postgraduate programmes can help you do this, for many of our graduates these programmes lead to promotion or a move to a more specialist role at work.

“The course content was fascinating, and aligned with my values, plus the tutors and my peers were very encouraging and interested in what I thought (something I wasn’t experiencing in my job at the time!).”

— Kathryn, PG Dementia
