Welcome to DSDC

Based at the University of Stirling, DSDC uses research to inform practice, and practice to inform research providing comprehensive resources for anyone supporting someone living with a dementia, both personally and professionally.

“Our mission is to improve the lives of people with a dementia.”

We are proud to offer services which are underpinned by research and forge a valuable link between global communities and researchers. These include free resources such as our Carers Hub and Dementia-friendly Map.

We are a member of the University’s Centre for Environment, Dementia and Ageing Research group, CEDAR, which has a strong emphasis on the inclusion of people living with dementia in their research practices.

From family carers and volunteers to health care professionals, architects, and product designers, we offer a range of evidence-based resources to provide the understanding and knowledge appropriate for your role. We do this through:

The University of Stirling is committed to providing education with a purpose and carrying out research which has a positive impact on communities across the globe - addressing real issues, providing solutions and helping to shape society.
